   2010 Banquet Update   Nov. 4, 2010

  Attention Racers: All racers MUST have their tickets purchased by NOV. 19th. We have to get trophies and awards made and we will only make awards for the racers that will attend the banquet. Every racer that is on the 2010 CHAMPIONS page qualifies for an award. So if you are on that page you qualify. Do not forget to purchase your tickets. ( Mail checks to Rick Sams - 114 Vandalia Drive Mineral Wells, WV 26150) There is limited seating at this facility and we want to make sure that every racer has a spot.

  2010 Banquet Information   September 22, 2010

  We are currently in full banquet mode. We have confirmed a date and location for the 2010 MOVHS Awards Banquet. The date will be December 4, 2010 at the Shriners located at 244 Watson Road Parkersburg, WV 26104. We have over 110 Racers that qualify for awards this year. Along with 40+ Iron Men. The capacity of this building is close to 350. So the tickets will be limited to that amount. The ticket prices will be as follows: Racer Tickets will be $10 and additional tickets will be $20 a piece. You can reserve your tickets by mailing a check to: Rick Sams @ 114 Vandalia Drive Mineral Wells, WV 26150. Please make checks payable to Mid Ohio Valley Hare Scramble or Rick Sams. When you mail the check please include the names of the people the tickets are for. The tickets will be reserved by name. So when you arrive at the banquet the reservation will be under your name. You may be asked to show ID if we do not know you. This is just for your protection. You will also be able to purchase tickets at the last race on Oct. 17.
  Every racer that raced 12 races no matter your place in your class will be getting a award. You must be present to collect your awards and money if you are a money winner. After the final race I will be posting the winners of each class and overall winners on the website. If you are not sure if you qualify please do not hesitate to call or email me at 304-210-5253 or quicker would be to email me at movhs@yahoo.com and myself or Julie will email you back as soon as we can. Please include your phone number and name in your email incase we would need to call you.
  We will be releasing alot of information for our 2011 season at the banquet. The banquet venue will be released soon such as times for dinner, awards, and more. We have alot of stuff planned for the banquet and a lot of news to share with you all for our 2011 season. One thing for certain is, you will see a new scoring system for 2011. We will be scoring with transponders next year. We will have the best scoring system that you can get for hare scramble racing. This will be a system where the riders can see what place they are in at the time they come into the scoring zone , the spectators will also have a system where they can see what place their rider is in. NO ONE in the Mid Ohio Valley has this system. So that is one thing I will share with you now.
  So buckle your Helmets boys and girls for our 2011 season because Mid Ohio Valley Hare Scramble is here for the long haul and here to benefit YOU the Racers. We arent quitters and we keep to our WORD and do as we say! If you thought 2010 was awesome just wait for 2011! We are very excited to get the 2011 season plans underway. For now that is all the information I can share. We will release more in the upcoming weeks - months so please stay tuned to the website.
