Chris Adam Cole
Chris Adam Cole, 30, of Walker, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2010. He was in an ATV racing accident not more than two miles from his home.
He was born in Davis and Elkins Hospital on June 4th, 1979, a son of Ronald Cole and the late Carolyn Sue Cole.
He was raised in Brush Run, W.Va., and attended Pocahontas County High School, where he participated in basketball, FFA, and was an honorable mention all-state football player. He was a graduate of West Virginia University of Applied Welding Technologies.
He was a six year employee of AFL Network Service as a telephone power equipment installer. Prior to AFL he had been employed at Northwest Pipe and Benson Truck Bodies. He loved life and never met a stranger; he always had a smile for whomever he met. He had a drive about him that no one could deny; he was ambitious and bigger than life. He passed on doing what he loved to do. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Brooks and Freda Mae Davis, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Maggie Cole.

Words can't describe just how awful Rick and the whole MOVHS crew feel.We are all mourning the loss of a truely Great man. This has really hit home! Just a complete tragedy. This is just a really hard time for us all! Really makes you think about what is important in life. You just think. "It wont happen to me!" Take a step back and know, oh yes it can! You never know! Cherish what you have!
Chris was not going to stop racing, he was going to live his life. MOVHS will charge on. Chris would not want us to quit. He would want us to keep going. It is easy to quit, it is hard to keep going. So in memory of him we are going to keep going! Live your life to the fullest, dont take it for granted!
MOVHS will be holding a memorial race in memory of Chris every year. We will release details at a later time. Rick also wants to have a tribute to Chris on every plaque that we hand out, so keep a look out for it. We are also setting up a fund at a local bank here in Parkersburg, so you can make donations to Chris' family. We have had quite a few calls where people have wanted to make donations. We will release all those details by next week. We will also be taking donations at each race and you can make donations at DTM Powersports: 719 Camden Avenue Parkersburg, WV 2610-(304)865-7823.
Our deepest thoughts and condolences go out to Chris' wife and family. God bless his family. RIP Chris!
